Project: Food Budget, I’m Back!

So, things are getting so much better over here. We did a house inspection, and our new house is looking good. Getting back inside helped me remember all the details we loved, and another shot at that kitchen. We also found places in the yard that I could grow veggies, something I missed doing last summer.

Now, it is just time to get our own house sold! This means keeping the kitchen spic and span for the many visitors we get a week. Because we were busy the past two weeks, we got in a no-cooking rut. However, due to the need to budget for the next few months, we are back to our frugal shopping and meal planning.

Vegetarian Salmon Food Budget

Goal: $75 a week/ $300 a month


Purchased: Grocery Store ($43): Organic Whole Milk, Ricotta Cheese, Tortillas, Vegetable Broth, lemon, whole-wheat bread, hot dog buns, Romano cheese, hummus, yeast, and shredded cheese. Washington’s Green Grocer Organic Box ($37): Portabello Mushrooms, Russian Banana Potatoes (fingerlings), Red/Green Chard, Green Beans, Zucchini, Grape Tomatoes, Romaine Lettuce, Pink Lady Apples, Mineola Tangelos, Valencia Oranges, Banana, Golden Pineapple
