Spicy Garlic Green Beans

March 5, 2011

We liked these green beans, and served them slightly undercooked, so they were crispy. This is a great side with just about anything, but we enjoyed them last night with the Colcannon.

They are really addictive!

Spicy Garlic Green Beans

  • 3/4 pound  green beans.
  • 2 tb soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp chili sauce
  • 1 tsp honey (agave nectar for vegans)
  • 2 tsp olive oil

1. Trim the ends off the green beans.

2. Mix together the rest of the ingredients.

3. Saute the green beans in the sauce for 5-8 minutes until desired texture.

Just wanted you to know that this recipe was as awesome as you said it would be. I made an extra-huge batch of the spicy garlic soy sauce and we used it as salad dressing and marinade for Ono. It was AWESOME. This sauce would work well as a marinade for anything- fish, chicken, pork…. It would also be tasty just mixed in with rice. Yummy- thank you so much for sharing!
